About Taga Safaris Africa

Mark and Celeste on the Chobe River - June 2010

Taga Safaris was established in 1994 by two South Africans, Mark Garzancich and Celeste Greenblatt, who have been passionate about African Wildlife and Nature since a very young age. We have travelled extensively throughout Africa's wildlife regions in search of adventure and getting to know and experience some of Africa's most remote and beautiful places which has left us with an unsurpassed wealth of experience and knowledge about African Safaris. We do about 15 safaris a year constantly keeping updated on what is happening in the safari industry and all of the camps and lodges we offer have been personally experienced by us for 2 or 3 nights at the least.

Our aim is to share with you our "African Dream" that will change your life for the better. We know Africa better than most. After all its our Home, and our Very Very Deep Passion!!

Experience and Knowledge

As we all know Experience and Knowledge can only be gained over time, and Taga Safaris Africa have been Specialising in African Safaris since 1994. In fact, Mark and Celeste, co-founders and co-owners of Taga Safaris Africa have been going on African Safaris since 1965 and literally have a lifetime of experience and knowledge to share with you.

Partnerships

Over the many years we have been in the industry we have formed very close relationships with the regions top safari lodge and tour operators like Wilderness Safaris, CC Africa, Sanctuary Lodges, Orient Express Safaris, Tourvest and also formed direct relationships with the private game lodges of the Sabi Sands and Timbavati. These relationships have enabled us to secure highly competitive rates which we pass on to our guests.

Magazine and Newspaper Articles

Over the years we have had many newspaper and magazine articles published about Taga Safaris. Click HERE to read some of these articles.

Support

Whilst on Safari with us if there is anything you need we are just a simple phone call away. No need for those long distance calls,  just phone us and we will be on hand to assist 24 / 7.

Passion

Being passionate about wildlife and especially the predators we started the 'Simbamili Leopards' project in March 2004 and it is still ongoing to this day. You can follow this documentary by clicking on the link on the left. We have spent many nights out on our own in the Sabi Sands following leopards and lions, filming them and learning about them, and some of our video clips can be seen on the website. Just click on 'Safari Videos'.

Better Rates and Service

A huge misconception that guests make, is to think that they will get their booking cheaper by booking directly with the lodge, camp, or establishment, in other words "cutting out the middle man". This is simply NOT the case. In fact, by booking through Taga Safaris you actually can make a saving.  You may ask how this is possible.

Since our inception in 1994 we have built up tremendous relationships with our suppliers, and we often secure super-preferential rates, which we always pass on to you, our guests. Even our so called normal rates are the best in the business.

Logistics - This is probably the single most import aspect of making your safari a success. Get the logistics wrong and your safari can quickly turn into a nightmare. This is where we excel, as we are engaged in this every day for our guests, and all this experience does not cost you anything extra. Living in Africa we know what works, and what does not work. Believe me, there is nothing more frustrating than arriving at your safari destination, only to discover you have missed your first safari game drive because you had chosen the wrong transfer.

SO WHAT IS THE BOTTOM LINE?
It’s Simple. By booking your Safari with Taga Safaris, you will be actually saving money, and you will be guaranteed an itinerary that works perfectly. Working with us is hassle free and saves you time and money!
