Itinerary

This adventure begins at Kilimanjaro International Airport and ends at Zanzibar International Airport in Tanzania.

DAY 1 – 3: Serengeti
On arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport you will be warmly welcomed by a member of the &Beyond team, who will drive you to Arusha Airport, where you will be assisted onto a small aircraft for a flight to Sasakwa Airstrip. A vehicle will be waiting to take you to your lodge.

The Serengeti National Park, meaning ‘endless plains’ in the Maasai language is one of the world’s most celebrated wilderness areas. Tanzania’s oldest game reserve, it is renowned as the site of the annual Great Migration, when an estimated three million wildebeest and other antelope move between it and Kenya’s Masai Mara. The Serengeti National Park is also home to the Olduvai Gorge, where groundbreaking archaeological discoveries have been made, as well as the Ngorongoro Crater, a World Heritage Site.

Indulge in three nights at your choice of:

A scenic retreat located on a sloping hill overlooking both the Grumeti River and a waterhole at Faru Faru River Lodge

Classic African safari comforts draped in Edwardian manor house style luxury at Sasakwa Lodge

The Colonial African feel of the luxurious Sabora Tented Camp reminiscent of a bygone era

Please note that there is a $200.00 surcharge if your choice of lodge is Sasakwa Lodge instead of Faru Faru River Lodge or Sabora Tented Camp.

Your stay includes breakfast, lunch and dinner daily, teas, coffees, wines, spirits and liqueurs (excluding French Champagne), laundry, two game drives per day (accompanied by experienced guides), as well as road transfers to and from the Sasakwa Airstrip.

DAY 4 – 5: Ngorongoro Crater
Return to Sasakwa Airstrip for a short flight to Manyara airstrip. You will be welcomed by a member of the &Beyond team, who will then drive you to Ngorongoro Crater Lodge. Enjoy an approximate 2 hour scenic drive transfer to the lodge, looking out for spectacular wildlife.

A unique safari destination, the Ngorongoro Conservation Area is home to more than 30 000 protected animals. The Ngorongoro Crater, once a gigantic volcano, is the largest intact caldera in existence. Nearly three million years old, it shelters one of the world’s most beautiful wildlife havens. Black rhino are protected within its rim, giant tusked elephants wander the forests, black-maned lion stalk the grasslands and flamingo crowd the soda lakes.

Linger for two nights in a sumptuous suite at &Beyond Ngorongoro Crater Lodge. Your stay is on a full board basis, including game drives on the Crater floor and park fees.

DAY 6 – 9: Mnemba Island
Return to Manyara Airstrip, where you will board a flight to Arusha Airport. A member of the &Beyond team will be waiting to drive you to Kilimanjaro International Airport where you will board a flight to Zanzibar International Airport.

On your arrival at Zanzibar International Airport you will be warmly welcomed by a member of the &Beyond team. You will then be driven to the shores of Zanzibar, where a boat will be waiting to take you to &Beyond Mnemba Island, a truly romantic paradise.

Spend four blissful nights absorbing the ultimate exclusivity of a private paradise island at &Beyond Mnemba Island Lodge. Your stay will include breakfast, lunch and dinner daily, soft drinks, house wines, local beer, local brand spirits and a variety of incredible water activities such as snorkeling, kayaking and scuba diving.

DAY 10: Departure
After a delicious breakfast you will hop on board a boat for your journey back to the shores of Zanzibar. You will be met and driven by a member of the &Beyond team to Zanzibar International Airport where your adventure with us will end.
