Itinerary

This adventure begins at Kilimanjaro International Airport and ends at Dar es Salaam International Airport in Tanzania.

DAY 1 – 3: Serengeti National Park
On arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport you will be welcomed by a member of the &Beyond team, who will drive you to Arusha Airport for a another flight to the airstrip of your choice.

The Serengeti National Park is undoubtedly one of the world’s most celebrated wilderness areas and is an ongoing source of inspiration to writers, film makers and photographers. Tanzania’s oldest game reserve, it is renowned for the part it plays in the annual Great Migration, when an estimated two million antelope migrate to Kenya’s Masai Mara. This epic, seasonal journey is a deeply moving experience.

Relax in pure bliss for three nights at your choice of the following:

A thatched cottage at &Beyond Klein’s Camp. Your stay is on a full board basis, including concession fees and lodge adventures. Adventures include game drives (including spotlit night drives) and nature walks. Visits to a Maasai community can be booked at an additional cost.

A flamboyant tent at &Beyond Grumeti Serengeti Tented Camp. Your stay is on a full board basis and includes park fees and twice daily game drives.

A luxurious mobile tent at an exclusive wilderness campsite at &Beyond Serengeti Under Canvas. Your stay is on a full board basis and include twice daily game drives and park fees.

DAY 4 – 5: Ngorongoro Crater
Enjoy an early morning game drive and scrumptious breakfast before returning to the airstrip for a flight to Manyara Airstrip. On landing you will be met by a member of the &Beyond team, who will drive you to your lodge.

The Ngorongoro Crater Conservation Area is home to more than 30 000 protected animals. Known for its spectacular beauty and excellent game viewing, it is a truly unique and dramatically romantic safari destination in Africa. The Ngorongoro Crater, once a gigantic volcano, is the largest intact caldera in the world. Nearly three million years old, the ancient caldera shelters one of the most beautiful wildlife havens on earth. Black rhino are protected within its rim, giant tusked elephants wander the forests, black-maned lions stalk the grasslands and flamingos crowd the soda lakes, and ideal romantic safari.

Indulge in two nights in a sumptuously romantic suite at Ngorongoro Crater Lodge.

DAY 6: Dar es Salaam
Today you will be driven back to the airstrip, where you will catch a flight to Dar es Salaam International Airport. On landing, you will be met be a member of the &Beyond team, who will drive you to your hotel.

Dar es Salaam is Tanzania’s largest and busiest city, as well as its most import business and commercial hub, and is situated right on the Indian Ocean. It is the ideal place from which to access both the wilderness areas and the beaches of Tanzania. Most visitors find themselves surprised by the charm of this unassuming city. Must-see attractions include the beautiful beaches of Kunduchi, Mjimwena and Mbwa Maji, the spectacular harbour and shopping at the local markets.

Spend the night in a luxury suite at The Oyster Bay. Your stay is on a fully inclusive basis.

DAY 7 – 9: Selous Game Reserve
You will be driven back to Dar es Salaam International Airport, where you will board a flight to Selous Game Reserve. On arrival, you will be driven to your camp.

Secluded and off the beaten track, Selous Game Reserve offers visitors a slice of undisturbed wilderness, teeming with a spectacular array of fauna and flora. It is one of the only big game reserves to allow hiking, offering wildlife enthusiasts the chance to explore Tanzania’s pristine landscapes on foot.

Relax for three nights in a luxury tent at Lukula Selous Camp. Your stay is on a full board basis, including game drives, bush walks and canoeing.

DAY 10: Departure
Tuck in to a breakfast feast before your drive back to the airstrip, where your flight back to Dar es Salaam International Airport will be waiting.
