8 Day Treasures of Tanzania Safari

This safari begins and ends at Kilimanjaro International Airport.

DAY 1: Arusha
On arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport you will be warmly welcomed by a member of the &Beyond team, who will drive you to your lodge.

Renowned as the safari capital of Tanzania, Arusha is tucked beneath the towering peaks of Mt Meru and Mt Kilimanjaro. The town has numerous first-class restaurants, bars and markets to browse, and is the ideal place to spend a few days before embarking on a safari. Spend the night in a chalet at the Lake Duluti Lodge, a charming countryside retreat overlooking the picturesque waters of Lake Duluti.

Your stay includes a full English breakfast, all drinks exclusing fine wines, champagnes and premium spirits, teas and coffees, internet access, laundry, coffee farm tour, baby sitting facilities, guided scenic walks around the lake, a guided village tour and all government taxes.

DAY 2 & 3: Lake Manyara National Park
You will be driven to Arusha Airport, where you will board a flight to Manyara Airstrip. Enjoy your first game drive en route from the airstrip to the lodge.

The diverse habitats of Lake Manyara National Park range from its Rift Valley soda lake to dense woodlands and steep mountainsides. The park is famous for it unusual tree-climbing lions and vast elephant herds. The shores of the lake, encrusted with pink flamingo, attract more than 400 species of birds. Large herds of buffalo, cheetah, Masai giraffe and impala roam the lake shores and the forested valley slopes. The park also features a ground-water forest, acacia woodland and the Maji Moto hot springs.Relax for two nights in a treehouse at &Beyond Lake Manyara Tree Lodge.

Your stay includes twice-daily game drives.

DAY 4 7 5: Serengeti National Park
Return to the airstrip for a flight to Grumeti, Klein’s or Serengeti Under Canvas Airstrip.

The Serengeti National Park is one of the world’s most celebrated wilderness areas. Tanzania’s oldest game reserve, it is renowned for the part it plays in the annual Great Migration of two million antelope. This epic, seasonal journey is a deeply moving experience.

Indulge in two nights at your choice of the following:

A thatched stone cottage at &Beyond Klein’s Camp. Your stay is on a full board basis, including concession fees and scheduled adventures such as game drives (including spotlit night drives) and nature walks.

A flamboyant tent at &Beyond Grumeti Serengeti Tented Camp. Your stay is on a full board basis, including twice-daily game drives and park fees.

A beautiful tent at a remote campsite at &Beyond Serengeti Under Canvas. Your stay is on a full board basis, including twice-daily game drives and park fees.

DAY 6 & 7: Ngorongoro Crater
Your return flight to Manyara is waiting at the airstrip. A member of the &Beyond team will be waiting to drive you to your lodge.

A unique safari destination, the Ngorongoro Conservation Area is home to more than 30 000 protected animals. The Ngorongoro Crater, once a gigantic volcano, is the largest intact caldera in existence. Nearly three million years old, it shelters one of the world’s most beautiful wildlife havens. Black rhino are protected within its rim, giant tusked elephants wander the forests, black-maned lion stalk the grasslands and flamingo crowd the soda lakes.

Linger for two nights in a sumptuous suite at &Beyond Ngorongoro Crater Lodge. Your stay is on a full board basis, including game drives on the Crater floor and park fees.

DAY 8: Arusha / Departure
Return to Manyara Airstrip, where you will board a flight to Arusha Airport. A member of the &Beyond team will be waiting to drive you to the Arusha Hotel where you will be able store any luggage and freshen up ahead of beginning your journey home. A transfer will be arranged to take you to Kilimanjaro International Airport, where your safari with us will end.
