Sussi Lodge & Chuma House

Sussi Lodge and Chuma House is an enchanting riverbank hideaway just 10 minutes upstream from the Victoria Falls – a perfect beginning or finale to your Zambian wildlife safari. Named after David Livingstone’s faithful friends who carried his body from the interior of Zambia to the British Embassy in Dar-es-Salaam. The luxury tree houses have their own private verandah and a magnificent view overlooking the Zambezi River. Sussi Lodge features an airy dining room, a raised lounge and bar area, a curio shop, small library as well as a downstairs deck area and swimming pool that borders the rivers edge. Elephant, buffalo and rhino often pass below our walkways! Activities include a guided tour of the Falls, canoe trips, white water rafting, sunset cruises, cultural village trips, elephant safaris and much more.

Chuma House is an exclusive self-contained villa located downstream from Sussi Lodge on the banks of the Zambezi Lodge, 9km upstream of the Victoria Falls. This exclusive villa offers 2 en-suite bedrooms – one double room with a bath and outdoor shower and one twin room with a bath and indoor shower, a spacious lounge and dining area, itchenette, outdoor verandah, barbeque area and private swimming pool. The second bedroom can be convertible into a private office area with telephone and computer modem link. Additional facilities include Satellite TV and a fully stocked bar. Guests at Chuma house will have their own private chef and a private guide, vehicle and boat for all activities.
